This B-26 illustration was conceived for the cover of an aviation magazine published by some very good friends of mine. The illustration should depict a very rare desert camouflage that was applied in a rush to some of the B-26 Invaders posted at the Atacama Desert, during a tense period with our northern neighbors, when there was a chance of war. Fortunately nothing happened, and Chile produced one of the rarest schemes seen on a B-26.
I painted the illustration with Indian ink, with a grey tone that would allow me, by digital means, to change the scheme of the illustration from desert camouflage to the classical silver scheme of the Korean war B-26 Invaders.
